“The Great Execution”, produced by Andy Classen at Stage One Studio once more, is the band’s 8th studio album and musically expands KRISIUN’s trademark high speed death metal violence with a heavily increased amount of diversity ranging from extreme tempo variations over distinct rhythm patterns to clean guitars and even Flamenco parts!

KRISIUN only used analogue gear and instruments this time to avoid the compressed sound that so many musicians produce today. This wise decision resulted in a more organic sound, with the songs on “The Great Execution” possessing both warmth and rawness, which are so often lost through digital production.
“The Great Execution” will be available as a limited edition digipak including a re-recorded version of the classic KRISIUN song “Black Force Domain” as bonus track, as 180g gatefold vinyl and as a digital download.

The new Krisiun-LP "The Great Execution“ will be released October 31st – and this time, it really is a “long player”: with a total duration of more than 60 minutes (the limited version includes a bonus track and will even be 67 minutes long), the album, which was produced by Andy Classen, offers an unusually great deal of metal for your money. And an extra dose of diversity on top.
Since the beginning of their career about 20 years ago, the three Brazilian brothers have been telling us that they want to mix up their Highspeed-Hightech-Deathmetal with catchy midtempo-sections more often, making it more interesting and diverse. On their past albums, this was usually accomplished with a few slower alibi-riffs, while the rest of the respective albums established new records in terms of speed. Of course, this was all performed on an extremely high technical level and interstratified by enough catchy sections to enthuse almost every Death-Metal-Fan (and others) – but it was also quite predictable and not very exciting.

“The Great Execution” now indeed takes it one step further as it shows a surprisingly high number of midtempo-sections that make the (of course still dominating) eruptions of speed appear even more extreme and brutal. There’s much more diversity going on; otherwise, the album would have been much too long und monotonous. But like this it seems that the guys finally found the ideal mixture; time just flew by when the band recently presented their new album to a selected crowd of journalists in Dortmund’s Metal-Bar “Die Burg”, in the presence of producer Andy Classen. Every face was covered with honest enthusiasm; the three sinister-looking but totally endearing brothers were visibly proud of their work.
“We made sure indeed this time that the song writing would be more variable – both with regard to tempo as well as with regard to the arrangements”, Max answers the question of what the main difference is between the new album and its forerunners.
“We are still very much into the fast parts, but breaking up the fast parts with the slower ones definitely worked on this record. Everyone who heard it so far says so.”
But that modification of sound didn’t progress under pressure, as Max accentuates: “Everything, we do comes straight from our hearts. That’s the way this band works.”
And you can really hear that immediately! All the specific KRISIUN-trademarks – Moyses’ characteristic riffs, Max’s Lombardo/Sandoval-like drumming and Alex’s unique Death-Metal-vocals – are also omnipresent on “The Great Execution”. The tremendous musical sense and the high technical standard of their work in general has no influence on the catchiness or the brutality of the songs. To illustrate this, the band recorded a remake of their old classic ´Black Force Domain´, which easily tops the original recording.
“That’s the song everyone wants to hear from us all the time. The new version of the song proves that we gained heaviness over our career and never lost connection to our roots.”
Is there anyone who ever doubted this, Max? I guess not.

| 21.02.11 - NEW ALBUM AND EUROPEAN SUMMER TOUR 2011 ANNOUNCED.

Brazilian Death-Metal Juggernaut, Krisiun, will return to Stage-One Studios,
in Buhn Germany, on may 2011 to begin the recording of their 8th full-length
release. The album will be produced once again by their long time friend and
producer Andy Classen, who previously worked with the band on the albums
Conquerors of Armageddon(1999), AssassiNation(2005) and Southern Storm
(2008). The album is tentatively due in the fall 2011. Shortly after the
recordings, Krisiun willl kick off their European Summer tour in Austria at
the Metalfest on May 27th.
The band has scheduled a number of open air
festivals and club gigs around the old continent and will be appearing at
some of the best European Metal festivals like Hellfest(France),
Deathfeast(Germany), GDL(Portugal), Metalfest (Austria, Switzerland, Czech
Republic,Germany, Hungary), Gahlen Moscht Festival (Germany) and more dates
in Italy, Holland, Poland, Belgium. (Dates here)

On the first part of the running the band will join forces with Kataklysm,
and on the second part will team up with Vader to continue the devastation
around Europe!
The band will be playing some of the new stuff off the new album, to give
fans a taste of the Death Metal Tornado thats about to come and decimate

- SHOW IN MEXICO GOT CANCELLED BECAUSE THE BAND COULD NOT GET THE VISAS. |
Krisiun show in Mexico got cancelled because the Mexican Embassy makes it really difficult for the band to get the Visas and to be able to play in Mexico.
Just a few days before the show in Mexico , the 'manager' informed the band about all the documentation and other requirements required by the Mexican
Embassy to issue the Visas, making it impossible for the band to get the Visas issued in time.
We in Krisiun want to apologize to our Mexican brothers for not be able to play there again, we are dying to play in Mexico.
We promise to make it to Mexico soon.

Unfortunetelly the Club didnt have the minimum equipment required to put out a show, no P/A, no mics, no lights and the bands, Krisiun,
Destruction and Mantic Ritual were forced to cancelled the show.

After the fierce release of Southern Storm – the most recent and acclaimed Krisiun
album - which is absolute success among specialized media and fans, the band have
already accomplished a remarkable tour schedule that included the US, Canada, East
and West Europe, Russia and great festivals such as With Full Force, Hell Fest, GDL
Metal Fest and Trois-Rivieres Metalfest.
2009 promises much more of the violent smashing sonority of those truly death metal
warriors to their fans. New dates have been announced and the trio returns to North
America along with Destruction in March, where they will perform 30 concerts,
including again the US and Canada. Right after this tour the brothers will cross the
planet heading to Australia and New Zealand for another series of demolishing
performances.
September features a third return to North America along with Obituary, and the fans
will again satisfy their hunger for the band’s unmistakable brutality.

Krisiun's management would like to announce that the band has never confirmed
the Mexican shows on January 2009.
The negotiations for the shows were started but
after some confusion between their mananger and the mexican promoter the
negotiations were not taken forward and were postponed.
The band would like to apologize their Mexican fans for the misunderstanding and
promisses that sometime soon they will confirm dates in Mexico.
